Dell Children’s Growth – Topping Out

In building construction, topping out (sometimes referred to as topping off) is a builders’ rite traditionally held when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its construction. On September 2, 2020 we held a Topping Out Ceremony for Dell Children’s Specialty Pavilion that is set for completion in April 2021. It’s exciting stuff. And it’s happening because of support from our Children’s Miracle Network partners.

This project is fueled by Philanthropy and at Dell Children’s – Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) is a big piece of that pie. The dollars raised through CMN mean that we can continue to build world class care for kids, right HERE at home. No family should have to leave Austin to get the care they need. This very building will mean care close to home for kids who need the most complex kind of heart care, brain care and cancer care.  That means better outcomes for families. YOU are a part of that story. THAT is something to be proud of.

The growth doesn’t stop here. We need you with us now more than ever. Whether you find yourself checking out at Costco, pumping gas at Circle K, buying jewelry at Kendra Scott, dancing for the kids as part of Texas Thon at UT or joining Rooster Teeth’s Extra Life team, YOU, the Austin community, have the chance to give a little and help a lot. One dollar at at time, it all adds up to something bigger than each one of us.

Dell Children’s campaign to keep kids HERE and ensure than no family has to leave Austin to get the care they need is an important mission and this Specialty Pavilion is an important first step. Thank you for being with us as we work towards providing world class care, right here in our own backyard.
