Walmart & Sam’s Club Reach Historic $1 Billion in Fundraising for CMN Hospitals
After just ending the 2018 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Campaign, Walmart and Sam’s Club have reached the incredible milestone of raising $1 Billion for children’s hospitals across North America since the inception of the partnership. Cashiers, associates, and managers nationwide came together with this common goal and worked make every day of this campaign count ensuring they hit the $1 Billion mark for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Local Austin Area Walmart and Sam’s Clubs went above and beyond to raise funds and awareness for Dell Children’s Medical Center during this year’s campaign, exceeding $200,000 in 2018. Throughout this five week campaign, money is raised primarily through donations at the register where customers and members contribute $1 or more when they checkout. Associates also had so many fun and creative ways they raised money for Dell Children’s- we saw popcorn machines, wishing wells, costumes, a giant gumball machine, bake sales, and upside-down umbrellas collecting ‘pennies from heaven!’
As Dell Children’s works to accelerate the very best in patient care, patient experience, and patient outcomes for families in need, right here in Central Texas, we are eternally grateful for partnership like ours with Walmart and Sam’s Club. Thank you for your passionate dedication for making a difference for the families we serve and helping kids live better.
