Panda Cares Day 25th Anniversary

Yesterday, Dell Children’s celebrated Panda Cares Day! Panda Cares, the philanthropic arm of Panda Express, commemorates its anniversary on August 8th every year.

To celebrate Panda Cares’ 25th Anniversary, we invited Panda Express associates into the hospital for breakfast and a presentation to learn about how the funds raised are making an impact at the hospital. Following the presentation, the associates were taken on a tour of the hospital, with a special stop at the Panda Cares Center of Hope.

The day didn’t end there! Panda Express donated 100 meals to feed the patients and families at the hospital. The associates helped pass out food and make arts and crafts with the kiddos. It was the most special day!

As a longstanding partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Panda Express has raised more than $172M for CMN. Since 2007, Panda Express has raised $1.7 million for Dell Children’s.

Most recently, Dell Children’s Medical Center used these funds to open the Panda Cares Center of Hope, Inpatient Rehab, working to help children and adolescents who have experienced a change or loss of function become as independent as possible within the scope of their diagnosis. This addition of Dell Children’s Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Program, helps to diagnose, treat, and manage the care for children and adolescents who are experiencing functional limitations as a result of injury, illness or medical condition.
